Cadence v. Torque Mode Explained

Most 2024 Troxus models are equipped with components that allow for switching between Cadence and Torque sensor modes!

  • Switch directly at the display, according to rider preferences.
  • Torque mode allows for a more natural, smoother riding experience while extending battery runtime when pedaling.
  • Torque mode is designed to more fully use the rider's power output.
  • Cadence mode allows for riding with less pedal effort as it detects small crankarm rotations anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of a full turn.
  • Cadence mode allows a rider to maintain a more constant speed with as little pedaling as possible (in general, more assist, less range).
  • Cadence mode functions well under normal, active pedaling as well.
  • Throttle assist works equally well under both modes.
  • Switch between modes with an easy, momentary press on the basic display interface.
  • Cadence mode will display a bicycle and cyclist icon on the lower portion of the display.
  • Torque mode is indicated by the absence of the cyclist icon.
